Ayacaxtli

Ayacaxtli (she/they) is Two-Spirit because they are an indigenous person who is pansexual. She is attending Sacramento City College and is studying to become a lawyer. Ayacaxtli wants to be a Civil Lawyer so they can hold big companies responsible for land-grabs that destroy the environment, as well as hold the government responsible for not respecting tribal treaties.

Brian

Brian (he/they/it) attends community college in Sacramento, California where he is studying cybersecurity. He is a transman and pansexual and he identifies as multiracial (white and south Asian) as well as neurodivergent. Brian likes to play Minecraft with friends, he loves animals, enjoys walks and looking at plants, and being creative.

Caitlin

Cat (she/her) attends American River College in Sacramento, California where she studies Art and Sociology. She plans to start a non-profit organization that makes art therapy services available to marginalized communities. She is an artist, and in her free time some hobbies include: reading about science, writing essays and poetry, studying astrology, and collecting rocks.

Dale

Dale (he/they) is a current Sacramento City College student studying Criminal Justice. They are an artist, dancer, and single parent. His favorite way to spend time is reading or with his child. They hope to become a forensic pathologist eventually after perusing a simpler forensic science position. 

Francisco

Francisco (he/they) attends college primarily at American River College in Sacramento, California where he studies Sociology. He loves to listen to music, make playlists, travel, be with his partner and our pets. They aren’t 100% sure what their current career goal is, but they are thinking of becoming a teacher like their mom and grandma.

Leah

Leah (they/them) is a non-binary lesbian attending Sacramento City College. They are studying geology/hydrology and their goal is to work as a hydrologist making sure people have safe access to clean water in California! In their free time they enjoy watching TV, crocheting, and being outdoors.

Lupe

Lupe Irene Sokolow-Ochoa (she/her) is a natural resource student at American River College. She comes from a mixed family with an Ashkenazi Jewish father and a Chicana mother. She grew up in Woodland, California, a farming town where everyone is either her cousin or a classmate from high school. Her hobbies include electronic technology, forestry,and crafting.

Mariah

Mariah (she/her) is from Sacramento, California and attends American River College. She identifies as a queer woman/questioning lesbian. She’s also biracial: white and Mexican American. She loves art, including drawing, watching cartoons, and going to the movies.

Rocky

Rocky (they/he/she) is African-American, White and non-binary. They are also bisexual and demisexual. He is currently a first year at American River College and is studying Psychology in hopes of becoming a teacher someday.

Sam

Sam (she/they) is a student at Sacramento City College (SCC) with many educational passions, such Psychology, Philosophy, Art and Law, Public Policy & Society. They have experienced many obstacles through their path towards getting a higher education. As a long-term SCC student, Sam has seen the overall improvements of services and programs provided to students. They hope that these helpful tools continue to improve and encourage the implementation of new courses that further educate students of the future.

Sara

Sara (they/any) is a queer, first generation college student, returning to school after previously receiving their BS in Psychology from UC Davis. They are currently in the Library and Information Technology Program at Sacramento City College. Sara is a community organizer working to cultivate a sustainable network of mutual aid and support within their community.

Savvy

Savvy (she/they/it) identifies as a queer demigirl. Savvy currently studies Graphic Design at American River college and is also pursuing a certificate in 3D animation. Savvy loves creating digital artwork, listening to music, and bringing joy to people. They hope to one day work in 3D production in film.

Trajan

Trajan (he/him) is a queer African-American student of Jamaican and Austrian descent who attended Folsom Lake College. He worked as a founding team member at Folsom Lake College’s Equity Center where he assisted his campus in helping students reeling from the impacts from the pandemic. During his last year of community college, Trajan served on the Los Rios Community College Board of Trustees as a Student Trustee. In the fall of 2023, Trajan transferred to UC Berkeley where he will major in economics.

William

William (he/him) studies social justice and administration of justice at American River College. He identifies as a biracial, gay, masculine-presenting man. He plans to transfer to Sacramento State in the spring of 2024 to study ethnic studies. In the following years, after completing his BA in ethnic studies, he would like to pursue an MA in public policy and administration. A few of his interests include politics/student government, advocacy, and modeling.  In the future, he would like to become a diversity and inclusion officer for campuses or companies.
